Explore
Langrish House lies 2 ½ miles from the historic market town of Petersfield. It is a great base from which to explore the magnificent National Park’s Hampshire and Sussex countryside.
Langrish is a very accessible 52 miles from London; 18 miles from Winchester and 17 miles from Portsmouth.
Chichester is 26 miles. London (Waterloo) from Petersfield is some 65 mins by fast train. London Gatwick and Heathrow are circa 1 ¼ - 1 ½ hrs away. Southampton Airport is 45 mins.
Local Attractions include several National Trust Houses and their gardens including nearby Hinton Ampner, Uppark and Petworth House.
There is Goodwood for racing and home of the famous Festival of Speed in the Summer and The Goodwood Revival in the Autumn.
The cathedral cities of Winchester and Chichester are within easy reach.
Portsmouth has the Elizabethan Mary Rose Warship and the D-Day Museum and GunWharf Quays, beside the harbour, with its extensive shopping, restaurants, bars and multi-screen cinema.
Also the Weald and Downland Living Museum close to West Dean Gardens near Chichester; there is The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu with its fantastic collection of veteran and vintage cars on the edge of the New Forest at Southampton and high opera at The Grange and plays at the Chichester Festival Theatre and Polo at Cowdray. Marwell Zoo and the Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery are popular attractions.
There is an array of great country pubs surrounding Langrish, serving good food, wines and ale. The South Downs Way is close by stretching some 100 miles from Winchester to East Sussex for cycling and spectacular walking.
There are beaches for the Summer at West Wittering near Chichester.
