This part of the house was built in 1840.
This is named after the Jane Churchill material used in the curtains. The silk picture on the wall is a relic from the days when Robina Talbot-Ponsonby’s great grand father was Viceroy of India.
It was not used for some time after the Second World War because while the New Zealand Soldiers were stationed here at Langrish House they pulled up all the floor boards and burnt them as fire wood.
