This part of the house was built in 1840.
This room was once part of the old Drawing Room and there is a photograph taken of it at the turn of the last century behind the sofa in the Hall.
Before the fire that devastated Langrish House in 1976, this was a huge room which included Room 5. It used to have windows looking East and South. On the south lawn there is a Ginko Tree – these are trees left over from the Ice Age.
When Langrish House was restored after the Fire, the room was divided into two and the ceiling lowered about 5 feet. The window behind the two beds was blocked up.
In the 70’s this room was used as an antique shop, and then as a Nursery School.
